An open-format talk with Tamandua and Shin Nawakiri, delving into technique, physical practice, and how rope fosters connections within various cultural contexts.

Tamandua will visit together with FaerieBruises to share his personal approach to erotically tormenting kinbaku by introducing some of his commonly used ties and concepts.
Day 1: prior experience with suspension needed
Day 2: prior experience with TK/gote and suspension needed (automatically qualified if having attended day 1)
This workshop has the possibility to attend just one of the two days, although priority will be given to students wishing to attend both days.

Dedicated to an all too common issue, which is typically expected to magically resolve itself; how to finish a rope nicely.
The leftover bit of rope always seems a bit too long or a bit too short. And does it really matter if the model can’t see it anyway…
Various way to use up and tie off various harnesses and suspension lines in aesthetically pleasing ways will be demonstrated.

An advanced level weekend workshop with Tamandua & Briki

‘Improvisation and choice is often confused with randomness and uniqueness.
In this case the approach will be quite the opposite, and rather focus on small adjustments and room for creativity within the already familiar, specifically taught tie/shape.
Training this 'eye' is beneficial to navigate larger, more obscure topics relevant to kinbaku such as aesthetic and empathetic sense.’

‘This class will teach ties that incorporate a thin bamboo stick by tying it against the body.
The ties are designed to introduce an additional element of restriction, when tying on the floor, utilising the rigidness of the bamboo stick as opposed to the very pliable quality of rope.’
